Thurnby Nirvana took the derby spoils in the United Counties League Premier Division clash against Oadby Town at Freeway Park.
Louis Hamilton began and ended the scoring for Oadby but in between the visitors cashed in to win 3-2.
Ash Day levelled matters with a penalty and Reece Morris’ strike put Thurnby 2-1 ahead at the break.
Matt Melbourne netted a third for Thurnby to give them a cushion they needed after Hamilton’s late penalty set up a tense finale.

Thurnby Nirvana's late show helped to throw the UCL Premier Division title race wide open. They beat leaders AFC Rushden and Diamonds 2-1 at Dakyn Road – the visitors' second defeat of the season.
Thurnby had to come from behind after going a goal down. Ash Day's penalty levelled matters on 84 minutes, then Celson Patricinio claimed a stoppage-time winner.

Excellent win for Thurnby Nirvana beating Rushden & Diamonds
AFC Rushden & Diamonds were sent tumbling to only their second league defeat of the season as two goals in the final six minutes saw them beaten 2-1 at Thurnby Nirvana in the ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League Premier Division.
